Synopsis

A collection of comics and stories, including -- "The Reluctant Bridegroom" , featuring the Spectre :  Jim Corrigan has accompanied Clarice Winston to witness the wedding of their mutual friends, Tom Grant and Barbara Newsome, but there seems to be a hitch in the proceedings.  Now, the Spectre has to protect a bride and groom from a jealous suitor. -- "The Riddle of the Crying Clown" , featuring Johnny Quick in his very first appearance:  A craft crime czar reigns supreme over man and beast in a strange animal kingdom under the big top!  But then, like a phantom out of the night swoops down a lone figure to challenge that rule:  Johnny Quick, a flashing human windmill who brings law and order to the circus. -- "The Great Drought" , featuring Doctor Fate :  In Arizona, great grazing lands suffer under a wilting sun and Doctor Fate must investigate a weird villain who can stop the Earth's rotation and even draw it into the sun! PLUS :  Detective Sergeant Carey, Radio Squad, Captain Desmo, and more!!
